Professor Sandeep Gopalan, hosting the 2017 Deakin Law School Conference noted the importance of the conference in terms of understanding the use of technology to disrupt the way in which legal services are delivered to consumers, with increased efficiency and consistency. Further, Professor Gopalan explained that Artificial Intelligence diminishes the access to justice gap by empowering more people to have access to justice and gain redress for their problems.
Professor Gopalan believed that Deakin Law School is at the forefront in changing the landscape of legal education by leveraging on Deakin’s sophisticated cloud system to deliver a wider access to high quality legal education going beyond the traditional notion of law being taught only in the physical classroom.
