Library and Information Science Research Australia is a project funded by The Australian Research Council. The project aims to encourage and enable research culture and practice within Australia’s library and information profession. 

A free session was held on the 31 August 2021. 

Australian library and information professionals are embracing research as part of their practice to inform decision making and to ensure their services remain relevant to changing community needs. How are the outcomes of practice-based research shared with other LIS professionals? How can practitioner-research add to the evidence base of Australian library and information science?

This panel session will consider the opportunities, issues and challenges for library and information professionals in sharing and disseminating Australia’s emerging body of LIS practice-based research. The panel will discuss formal and informal options for presenting, publishing and sharing research findings with different audiences.
